4th Grade Choral Performance
Dec. 7th, 6:30-7:30 PM

Our first grade level Choral Performance- "All About Virginia" will be on Thursday, December 7th from 6:30-7:30 in the cafeteria. We hope you will come out and support our 4th Graders as they perform.

Helping Hands meets every Wednesday at 9am in the school cafeteria!

If you are looking for a way to lend a hand to a teacher this is it! We laminate, cut, and glue items for teachers and we would love to have you join us. You do not have to stay the whole time. Any time you have to spare is much appreciated by our teachers.

STAFF HOLIDAY TEA
The PTA will be sponsoring a staff Holiday Tea on December 15. We have amazing staff at GBE and we want to thank them for everything they do!

Advocacy Minute:
Statewide Family Engagement Centers
Join advocates across the country in supporting statewide family engagement centers by calling your representative. After 7 years of inaction, Congress is currently considering an amendment to fund Statewide Family Engagement Centers. This bipartisan amendment would provide $10 million in critical resources for states and school districts to engage parents and families in their children's education. The best way to make your voice heard is to call your Representative TODAY- it takes just a minute and will make a big impact.

JOIN GRAFTON BETHEL PTA ONLINE

https://member.pta.org/Pilot-Home/Individual-Join

Why join the PTA?
Your membership helps our school have a voice! The more memberships the bigger impact and higher chance our voices can be heard not just in the school but in the state of Virginia and the National PTA. Also, when you join you are helping support students, teachers, school functions, and school grounds. It takes a village to give the best to our kids. It keeps you informed with what is going on in and around the school and honestly we couldn't do the things we do without you. You will also receive great discounts.
It DOESN'T mean you HAVE to volunteer or you have to show up to our meetings. Yes, we would love to have you and get to know you, but we understand how busy life is. Come when and if you can. You are always welcome to join us. We love new ideas and are always looking for ways to improve.

How long do memberships last? When you pay the $6 per member it is valid until the beginning of the next school year. You have to renew your memberships every year. We are hoping to make the process easier by next year.

Who can join?
We have parents, grandparents, other family members, friends, students, and business owners join. Basically, anyone who wants to support GBES and student.

Thank you to everyone who has already joined or renewed your memberships!
CONGRATULATIONS to our Back to School night Membership Raffle winners!
Rachel Welch, Tiffany Beatley, and Casey Quinley
